Secretarial Employee Intellectual Property

Job description

Within our IP practice in The Hague or Amsterdam, we are looking for an administrative assistant with an affinity for legal procedures and litigation. Are you familiar with the world of deadlines, files, and litigation? And do you want to work within an international office? Then we invite you to apply!

Description

You will be working within a close-knit IP team that handles many procedures and where accuracy and oversight are essential. The team works hard, but there is certainly also room for a joint coffee break and a good team atmosphere. A click with the team is at least as important to us as the right experience.

As a secretarial assistant, you will be the driving force when it comes to deadline monitoring. You will maintain the role journal (the register in which courts and tribunals track the progress of cases) and timely signal what needs to happen and when. Furthermore, your tasks will include correspondence, diary and phone management, creating and managing files, and supporting the billing process.

Our IP practice is characterized by a strong litigation practice, where we, in close cooperation with other colleagues in the Netherlands and our international offices, guide our clients in complex and high-value disputes before national and international courts. We work for a variety of business clients and deliver tailor-made solutions, even for complex and time-sensitive matters, so no day is the same.

What we offer
  • An informal working atmosphere where everyone's door is always open;
  • A close-knit and dynamic office where different departments collaborate extensively;
  • An excellent benefits package;
  • Room for personal development, training, and education;
  • A cozy office bar and many fun activities, such as our Christmas party, summer party, office weekend, and our international football tournament.
What we ask
  • Preferably, you have a secretarial or administrative education at MBO level (vocational secondary education);
  • You have at least 3 years of relevant work experience in the legal or professional services sector;
  • Experience with deadline monitoring, working with the role journal, and an affinity for IP or patents is a plus;
  • You are accurate, proactive, stress-resistant, and collegial;
  • You communicate strongly in both Dutch and English;
  • You have good knowledge of Microsoft Office and quickly pick up new systems.
