Job description
This is a high-impact opportunity to support the President of Climate Solutions AME and the AME leadership team in executing the organization's strategic vision and driving revenue growth. The Special Assistant will play a pivotal role in enabling leadership effectiveness, fostering cross-functional collaboration, and building business acumen through exposure to strategic decision-making and enterprise-wide initiatives. Key Responsibilities Executive Support & Strategic Advisory Serve as the primary point of contact for the President of Climate Solutions AME, managing their schedule, communications, and priorities. Proactively anticipate needs and proactively manage the President's time, ensuring they are prepared for meetings, events, and engagements. Conduct research, prepare presentations, and draft correspondence on behalf of the President, ensuring accuracy and clarity. Provide strategic support and insights on key initiatives, projects, and priorities, including market trends, competitor analysis, and industry developments. Prepare briefing materials and presentations for internal and external audiences. Act as a liaison between the President and internal/external stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and follow-up. Project Management & Operational Support Manage and coordinate special projects and initiatives as assigned by the President, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget and scope. Develop and implement project plans, track progress, and proactively identify and resolve issues. Assist with the development and execution of strategic plans, including goal setting, performance tracking, and reporting. Coordinate logistics for meetings, events, and travel arrangements, including scheduling, venue selection, and vendor management. Manage expenses, budgets, and invoices related to the President's activities, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. Prepare agendas, minutes, and action items for meetings, and follow up on action items to ensure timely completion. Support the AME leadership team in driving key initiatives and achieving strategic objectives. Data analysis and reporting Develop, maintain, and provide reporting and analysis related to team and organizational initiatives and priorities. Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness. Requirements Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. 5+ years of experience in a similar role, supporting senior executives in a fast-paced environment. Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make sound judgments. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant software. Discretion and the ability to maintain confidentiality. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines. Preferred Qualifications Master's degree or other advanced degree. Experience in the climate or sustainability sector.
