About the position
At Veeam, our Systems Engineers (m/f/d) work closely with sales, helping to promote our product offering to our partners, resellers, and end users. Grow with Veeam while gaining valuable experience in one of today's hottest IT areas. These positions require significant travel within the region you are responsible for.
These are your tasks:
- Conducting presentations and demonstrations at live and virtual customer meetings
- Implementing and managing POCs to technical completion
- Supporting lead generation activities such as events, webinars, user groups, etc.
- Collaborating with the customer/partner to define and implement business goals into technical requirements
- Independently advising customers to provide technical expertise on data protection
- Working closely with the sales department to acquire new partners and customers
- Working closely with product management to gather customer feedback
- Supporting customers before sales with the evaluation of Veeam software
What you bring:
- Proven experience in solution selling and/or technical pre-sales preferred
- Industry experience with data protection technologies
- Industry experience in storage, network, and/or cloud technologies is highly desirable
- Experience working with monitoring tools and frameworks
- Proven experience with virtualization technologies
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with limited instructions; energetic, motivated personality capable of quickly learning new technologies
- Ability to adapt to changing tasks and responsibilities
- A VMCE certification would be advantageous - employees have the opportunity to acquire VMCE and also VMCA once they have started the position.
- Willingness to travel
Bonus Skills:
- Delivering software solutions in complex environments
- In-depth understanding of Veeam and/or similar technologies
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; you must be able to present to groups in English and German
- Industry-relevant professional certifications are desirable
