About ]init[

Do you want to help shape the society of tomorrow? Then ]init[ is the right place for you. Because our digital solutions are made for people and have societal relevance. Sounds exciting? Then join us and work with over 1,400 ]init[ employees in interdisciplinary teams at our seven locations – or flexibly from anywhere in Germany.

Your Mission at ]init[

Do you want to rethink public communication digitally and win new clients for innovative communication solutions? As a Senior New Business Manager Public Sector Communications (all genders) in Berlin, you will be responsible at ]init[ for systematically acquiring new clients in the federal and state environment. You will identify new market potentials, build strong relationships with relevant contacts, and develop suitable solutions for digital communication in the public sector together with our specialist departments.

Our goal: We want to support organizations in making their communication simple, understandable, and effective in digital form – and to further expand our positioning as a partner for communication services in the public sector.

What to do

  • You will be responsible for systematic new client acquisition in the public sector with a focus on federal and state authorities.
  • You will identify market trends and business opportunities and develop suitable acquisition, go-to-market, and marketing strategies.
  • You will plan and manage target-group-specific marketing measures for acquiring new clients.
  • You will build and sustainably maintain a strong network with clients, partners, and relevant market players.
  • You will advise potential new clients on digital communication solutions, particularly in the areas of websites, CMS, AI, content, campaigns, and social media.
  • You will identify relevant tenders and accompany bid, award, and pitch processes in close cooperation with the specialist departments.
  • You will represent ]init[ at client meetings, networking events, and in relevant industry environments.

What you bring

  • You have several years of experience in business development, sales, or new client acquisition, ideally in the public sector client environment.
  • You are familiar with the market for communication, agency, and CMS services, as well as the structures, decision-making processes, and requirements in the public sector.
  • You can clearly communicate complex communication and digitalization services and translate them into concrete customer benefits.
  • You have experience with public tenders, procurement processes, and creating convincing offers.
  • You communicate confidently, build strong relationships quickly, and present yourself assuredly to various stakeholders.
  • You work proactively, strategically, and goal-oriented and are enthusiastic about digital communication.
  • You have very good German and English language skills, both written and spoken.

What we offer you

  • Because we care: 30 days of vacation and workation within the EU create space for recovery and new perspectives. This allows for a good balance between work and private life.
  • Work with us: Flexible working hours, mobile working, and part-time models enable you to organize work and everyday life in a way that suits you – always in coordination with your team and projects.
  • Learn with us: With the ]init[ Academy, training, certifications, and cross-departmental knowledge exchange, you will continuously develop professionally and personally.
  • Grow with us: Benefit from cross-departmental knowledge exchange and continuously develop together with your colleagues.
  • Ride with us: JobRad, public transport subsidy, and other mobility benefits support you in being mobile flexibly and sustainably.
  • Start with us: Welcome Week, structured onboarding, and mentorship ensure a successful start and help you quickly settle into the team and your projects.

Become part of the team

Shape the digital future with us – full-time, in our office in Hamburg, or on-site at the client's premises.

We look forward to receiving your application, stating your earliest possible start date and your salary expectations.

Diversity and equal opportunities are a matter of course for us. We expressly welcome applications from people with disabilities and ensure equal opportunities.

Since security is important to us and our clients, a confidential security check may be required after a job offer.
