(Senior) Business Development Manager DACH (m/f/d)
Job description
Why mute-labs?
At mute-labs, there is neither "VC-driven burnout" nor toxic sales floors. We are a self-financed, sustainably profitable team with a clear mission: to bring more quiet into the loudest offices in the world.
We develop and produce high-quality acoustic booths that truly fit modern work environments.
We don't just sell "booths" – we sell focus, productivity, and a better working environment.
For the DACH market, we are looking for a Full-Cycle BDR who wants to take the entire sales process into their own hands – from the first "Hello" to the final handshake.
The Role: Consulting Instead of Just DialingWith us, you don't read from a pre-made script. You advise companies in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland on how to create better work environments.
- Qualified Inbound Leads: Forget random "Smile and Dial." You are the first point of contact for high-quality leads – companies that already have a genuine interest in our products.
- Pipeline Building: You identify relevant decision-makers such as Facility Managers, HR Leads, or Founders and build a pipeline where quality is more important than sheer quantity.
- End-to-End Ownership: You identify potential customers, conduct discovery calls and demos, and close your own deals. This way, you can concretely see at the end how your work ends up as a mute-labs booth in the customer's office.
- No Elbow Sales: We don't have commission. Why? Because we want you to do what's best for the customer and the team – not what maximizes your bonus. Instead, we offer a competitive, stable fixed salary because we rely on your intrinsic motivation.
We live an Office-First culture. We believe that the best sales ideas arise over a shared coffee – and not in endless Slack threads.
- 09:00 | Morning Vibe: You arrive at our energetic office in Berlin-Mitte, grab a coffee, check the latest leads, and plan your day.
- 09:30 | Action Phase: You are on the phone or in a video call, talking to new leads about their office challenges and scheduling demos.
- 11:00 | Strategy Huddle: A brief exchange with Alvaro, our Country Manager, or Jarno, our Sales Director, about a specific deal or a market trend you've discovered.
- 12:30 | Family Table: We eat together. On Fridays, one team cooks for the whole company. Whether it's pasta, tacos, or a personal classic – we come together as a team during our shared lunch.
- 14:30 | Market Mastery: You conduct discovery demos. You listen more than you talk and find out what the customer's real pain points are.
- 18:00 | The Close: You update your CRM, refresh your pipeline, and call it a day. We respect your offline time.
Every Friday, we wind down the week together.
- The Pulse: In our team huddle, we look at the numbers, share company updates, and celebrate colleagues who have made significant progress this week.
- The Pints: Afterwards, we start the weekend together – with drinks, alcoholic or 0.0%, and the good feeling of having achieved something together.
We know that good candidates are in demand – that's why we won't keep you waiting for weeks.
- The Spark: A short screening call with Lia to find out if our values and expectations align.
- The Market Fit: A deep dive with Alvaro (Country Manager) and Jarno (Sales Director), focusing on your sales DNA.
- The Commercial View: A conversation with Leah (Head of Commercial) about our growth strategy and your role in it.
- The Live Action: A discovery role-play with the team. No homework, no days of preparation – we simply want to see how you conduct a real customer conversation.
- The Vision: A final conversation with our CEO, discussing the big picture and your development at mute-labs.
- Self-Driven Hunter: You don't need a commission check to stay ambitious. You want to achieve your goals and actively drive the company forward.
- Native Communicator: You speak fluent German and can navigate the DACH market confidently and persuasively.
- Full-Cycle Mindset: You enjoy both the thrill of finding new leads and the satisfaction of closing a deal yourself.
- Team Player: Working in silos isn't for you. You want to share successes, learn from each other, and support your colleagues with their deals just as much as with your own.
If you are looking for a sales role where you are treated as a professional, supported by a strong team, and want to work in an open, ambitious office culture, then we want to get to know you.
Apply now – we'll get back to you faster than you think!
ABOUT USHere at mute-labs, we aim to enable companies to achieve more by democratizing silence in the workspace. And we’re not like any other Berlin startup you might know:
We’re “no tech”: We know how to develop and sell great hardware products with a focus on sound-insulated phone- and meeting booths.
We have no investors and we really don’t want any. We've been profitable since day one.
We continue to have a steep growth curve – not in employees or coffee cups consumed, but in revenue and profit.
We’re not striving for an exit – we’re building a sustainable business for many generations to come.
Wondering what it's like to work here? We made a reel about it!
Are you as excited about mute-labs as we are? Then we are looking forward to getting to know you!
