Sales Representative Christian Books Division Johannesburg or Cape Town (National Travel Required) Jonathan Ball Publishers is seeking a dynamic Sales Representative to join its Christian Books Division. The position is based in Johannesburg or Cape Town and requires national travel. The ideal candidate is relationship-driven, commercially minded, and passionate about Christian books and ministry, with a strong ability to build partnerships and drive sales growth in a dynamic environment. Key Responsibilities: • Develop and maintain relationships with existing customers and identify new business opportunities; • Conduct market research and analyze customer needs to develop targeted sales strategies; • Build and maintain a network of contacts within the Christian book industry, including authors, publishers, and other stakeholders; • Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities in the Christian book market; • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop effective promotional campaigns; • Provide exceptional customer service and ensure timely delivery of products; • Maintain accurate records of sales, expenses, and other financial data; • Participate in regular meetings and training sessions to stay up-to-date on company policies, procedures, and product knowledge. Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g. business, marketing, communications); • 2-3 years of sales experience in the Christian book industry or a related field; • Strong relationships with existing customers and ability to build new ones; • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills; • Ability to work independently and as part of a team; • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); • Willingness to travel nationally and occasionally internationally.
