Join the RAC as a Roadside Technician Join the team that keeps the UK moving. As a Roadside Technician with a Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or equilavent) and at least 2 years' experience, you’ll receive: A market-competitive base salary of £36,400 and a realistic OTE of £61,000, with top-performers earning significantly more through bonuses and enhanced overtime rates. Start and finish on your driveway. Demand-led shifts averaging 40 hours per week, with optional overtime and a 25-day annual leave entitlement. You will be required to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on providing excellent customer service and ensuring the highest standards of workmanship. You will be expected to work independently, using your own initiative and judgment to resolve issues and make decisions. You will also be required to work as part of a team, contributing to a positive and supportive working environment. The role will involve a range of tasks, including vehicle inspections, repairs, and maintenance, as well as providing roadside assistance and support to our members. You will be required to maintain accurate records and reports, and to adhere to all relevant health and safety procedures. You will also be expected to participate in ongoing training and development, to ensure your skills and knowledge are up-to-date and relevant to the role.
