Job description

  • Targeting Hyperscale Data Centres & Electrical Infrastructure Projects
  • Greenfield Sales Role: Build the Pipeline!
  • Circa $220K PKG + Bonus. Melbourne (Inner West / Hybrid).
Overview: A leading global manufacturer of critical power equipment is launching its Australian operations. Their technology is the industry standard for critical power systems in Data Centres and Energy projects. They are seeking a tenacious National Business Development Manager to lead their market penetration strategy.

Key Responsibilities & Success Outcomes (First 6-12 Months): Reporting to the General Manager / Country Manager, you will be responsible for revenue generation. Your success in the first year will be measured by:
  • Budget Achievement: Meeting or exceeding the agreed sales budget within the first 6-12 months.
  • Methodology: Demonstrating a clear, data-backed method for achieving sales targets and managing the pipeline.
  • Market Penetration: Executing a strategy to secure new clients among hyperscalers, data centre operators, and Tier 1 Contractors for the company's equipment and rental fleet solutions.
  • Solution Selling: Consulting with electrical engineers, contractors and project directors to supply critical equipment to major electrical and mechanical infrastructure projects.
Desired Skills & Experience: The company is seeking a results-driven sales professional with:
  • Technical Background: Ideally trained in an Electrical or Mechanical discipline.
  • Product Knowledge: Experience with rotating plant and equipment, large scale electrical equipment or power generation is highly valued.
  • Sector Experience: Prior experience in the Data Centre market would be well regarded, and/or experience supplying critical equipment to major electrical and mechanical infrastructure projects.
  • Sales Rigour: You must possess a disciplined approach to sales methodology, relying on clear statistics and processes to achieve results.
