Key Responsibilities
Lead international transport operations for heavy and oversized cargo, primarily destined for the United States;
Plan and coordinate multimodal operations involving road, maritime, rail, and/or river transport;
Manage carriers, freight forwarders, cargo agents, port terminals, customs brokers, and other partners;
Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics operations for raw materials, components, and finished goods, ensuring compliance with internal standards and procedures while meeting the requirements of internal and external customers.
Manage all stages of international logistics (import and export), overseeing shipment, customs clearance, and delivery processes to ensure adherence to deadlines, cost targets, and quality standards.
Plan, negotiate, contract, and manage domestic and international transportation services (road, sea, and air), covering everything from dispatch to delivery to the final customer.
Develop, monitor, and ensure adherence to the freight and transportation budget, seeking cost-reduction opportunities without compromising service levels.
Monitor logistics performance indicators, proposing and implementing continuous improvement actions to boost operational efficiency.
Manage and evaluate the performance of transportation providers and logistics operators, developing new strategic partnerships to meet business demands.
Ensure logistics processes comply with current legislation, foreign trade regulations, and quality requirements.
Oversee the maintenance and development of the AEO (Authorized Economic Operator) program, ensuring compliance with program requirements and contributing to the security of the international logistics supply chain.
Lead the logistics team, fostering employee development, driving results, and promoting continuous process improvement.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Foreign Trade, Logistics, Engineering, or related fields.
Experience in domestic and international logistics (import and export).
Experience negotiating domestic and international freight rates.
Knowledge of Incoterms, customs regulations, and foreign trade.
Experience with the AEO (Authorized Economic Operator) program.
Knowledge of logistics KPIs and cost management.
Fluent English.
Experience leading teams.
