DIRECTOR OF SEMISUBMERSIBLE AND OFFSHORE PLATFORMS

About the Company



Direct the strategy, operation, maintenance, reactivation, mobilization, and economic performance of semi-submersible platforms, ensuring personnel safety, asset integrity and reliability, contractual and regulatory compliance, as well as the profitability of offshore projects.



About the Position



Will be responsible for converting the General Management's objectives into executable operational plans, aligning technical, operational, financial, commercial, and administrative areas to ensure safe, efficient, and sustainable offshore operations.



Responsibilities



  • Define and execute the operational strategy of semi-submersible platforms aligned with the business plan.
  • Direct the operational, technical, financial, and contractual performance of the assets.
  • Ensure the availability, reliability, integrity, maintenance, reactivation, modernization, and life extension of the units.
  • Lead SPS, UWILD, upgrades, major inspections, mobilizations, and shipyard campaigns.
  • Evaluate investments, acquisitions, leases, sales, reactivations, and strategic alliances related to offshore assets.
  • Establish technical governance for critical drilling, subsea, marine, electrical, structural, and safety systems.
  • Ensure decisions on critical equipment and systems are evaluated by specialists under formal risk management processes.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE standards, quality, asset integrity, risk management, and operational continuity.
  • Lead executive response to emergencies, major incidents, and events affecting business continuity.
  • Manage OPEX and CAPEX budgets, overseeing costs, utilization, contractual profitability, EBITDA, and budget deviations.
  • Participate in tenders, technical and economic proposals, contractual negotiations, and business opportunity development.
  • Oversee contractual compliance, claims management, economic recoveries, and penalty mitigation.
  • Maintain strategic relationships with clients, authorities, insurers, classification societies, shipyards, OEMs, and key suppliers.
  • Coordinate Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, Projects, Marine, HSE, Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain, Human Resources, Commercial, and Legal areas.
  • Design the organizational structure, define responsibilities, and develop key talent through succession and leadership plans.
  • Promote a culture of safety, operational discipline, responsibility, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Present operational, financial, contractual, and risk results to General Management, transforming complex technical issues into executive recommendations with economic, operational, contractual, and reputational impact.


Qualifications



  • Education: Petroleum, Mechanical, Naval, Marine, Electromechanical, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • Desirable: Master's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Offshore Engineering, Finance, Project Management, or equivalent.
  • Age and gender: Indifferent.
  • Languages: Advanced English indispensable for negotiation, document review, conducting meetings, and presenting executive results. Spanish desirable for interaction with clients, authorities, and local teams.

  • Credibility with technical staff, clients, authorities, and senior management, with an openness to reconsider decisions based on new information.
  • Ability to represent the company before national and international clients, authorities, insurers, partners, shipyards, and strategic suppliers.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the comprehensive management of fleets, units, or offshore businesses, rather than exclusively consultative or technical specialty roles.
