Business Development Manager

About the Role

We are looking for a highly motivated Business Development Manager to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and expanding our presence in the Brazilian and international e-commerce ecosystem.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience working with cross-border e-commerce and marketplace sellers, understands the dynamics of international online marketplaces, and is passionate about helping businesses grow globally.

Key Responsibilities

· Identify, develop, and manage relationships with new merchants and strategic partners.

· Drive business growth by acquiring and onboarding new sellers.

· Work closely with Brazilian merchants selling through international marketplaces such as Amazon US, Walmart Marketplace, eBay, Etsy, TikTok Shop, Temu, and AliExpress.

· Develop relationships with international merchants expanding into the Brazilian market through leading local marketplaces such as Mercado Livre, Shopee, Amazon Brazil, Magalu, Americanas Marketplace, Casas Bahia Marketplace, Carrefour Marketplace, Shein, and AliExpress Brazil.

· Understand merchants’ business needs and recommend solutions that drive growth.

· Coordinate with internal product, operations, and marketing teams to deliver an excellent customer experience.

· Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities within the cross-border e-commerce ecosystem.

· Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and partner meetings when required.

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.

· Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required.

· Mandarin Chinese proficiency is a plus.

· Proven experience in Business Development, Partnerships, Account Management, or Sales within the e-commerce, fintech, payments, or marketplace industries.

· Strong experience working with:

o Brazilian sellers expanding through international marketplaces such as Amazon US, Walmart Marketplace, eBay, Etsy, TikTok Shop, Temu, and AliExpress.

o International merchants selling through Brazilian marketplaces including Mercado Livre, Shopee, Amazon Brazil, Magalu, Americanas Marketplace, Casas Bahia Marketplace, Carrefour Marketplace, Shein, and AliExpress Brazil.

· Strong understanding of cross-border e-commerce operations, marketplace ecosystems, and merchant acquisition.

· Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.

· Self-motivated, entrepreneurial mindset, and results-oriented.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience in cross-border e-commerce, international payments, fintech, or logistics.

· Existing network of marketplace sellers, agencies, aggregators, or e-commerce service providers.

· Experience working with marketplace APIs, seller tools, or international expansion projects is an advantage.
