Job description
As a Youth Consultant, you are responsible for supporting children, young people, and families with growth and upbringing questions. You investigate help requests, develop a suitable support plan, and work together with chain partners to realize sustainable solutions. You play an important role in promoting self-reliance, safety, and well-being of youth within the municipality.
Responsibilities-
Conducting conversations with young people, parents, and involved professionals to clarify the help request.

Analyzing situations and developing support or guidance plans.

Indicating suitable care and support within the Youth Act.

Coordinating implemented assistance and monitoring progress and results.

Working together with schools, care providers, neighborhood teams, and other chain partners.

Maintaining the quality and legitimacy of the provided support.

Signaling bottlenecks in implementation and contributing to policy improvement.

Caring for correct reporting and administration in the client tracking system.

A completed HBO degree in, for example, Social Work, Social Welfare and Service Provision, Pedagogy, or Applied Psychology.

Knowledge of and experience with the Youth Act and municipal regulations.

Experience in conversing with young people and families in complex situations.

Skill in analyzing help requests and developing support plans.

Good communication and collaboration skills.

Registration in the SKJ (Foundation for Quality Register of Youth) or willingness to obtain this.

Mastery of the Dutch language in word and writing.

Experience with municipal information systems (e.g. Suite4SociaalDomein, GWS4all).

Knowledge of multiproblem families, youth care chains, and safety issues.

Experience within a neighborhood team or social team.

Flexibility, stress resilience, and a solution-oriented attitude.
