Task
As a youth and family helper, you stand alongside parents when they are no longer able to cope. You see their strengths and weaknesses and know how to motivate them to move forward again. Before involving various institutions, you look first at what a young person, the family or network can do themselves. Are there friends or family members who can help, or other people in the environment? Are there problems that are still difficult to solve? Then you research together which organizations can provide help. So you are both a helper and process manager. And is the situation for a child really (even) unsafe? Then you take the necessary measures.

After a broad analysis, you investigate the possibilities of answering the stated request for help. You record this with the young person or family in a perspective plan. You refer to specialists when complex and/or specialized questions arise. The starting point here is that specialist youth care does not take over the care, but expertise is added to what already exists and is always temporary. You monitor the implemented help provision and keep an eye on bottlenecks and the quality of care. We are looking for a real approacher. Someone who gets excited about a high work tempo and is not afraid to pick up the phone or jump on their bike to visit a family. Additionally, we use availability services, which is also part of your work.

We are looking for an experienced Youth and Family Helper to help reduce the waiting list.

Maximum 5 pages, set up in Dutch, minimum 2 references.

Workdays

The task is fulfilled on the following workdays: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday - Friday.

Presence at City Hall is desired, workdays to be determined by agreement. All Fridays are a fixed workday.

This in-house job will run through an auction. The client has set requirements and wishes. You must meet the requirements to have a chance. On the wishes, you can score points.

• 6. Candidate works at least on Friday.
• 1. Available by January 5th, 2026 for 36 hours per week;
• 2. A completed education of at least HBO bachelor level;
• 3. At least 3 years of work experience in the field of youth and family help, including process management;
• 4. In possession of a valid SKJ registration (clearly mention this in the CV with registration number and date).
• 5. Candidate is willing to be physically present at City Hall on all workdays.

• 7. At least 4 years of work experience in the past 6 years in the field of youth care for a municipality
• 8. At least 2 years of work experience in the past 5 years within the Youth Act
• 9. Work experience with family systems (clearly mention this in the CV)
• 10. The candidate presents themselves in a short (personal) motivation and why they are suitable for this job. The motivation must be written by the candidate themselves.
