Machining Technician (m/f/d)

Deutsche Gesenkschmiede Wetzlar GmbH, located in Wetzlar, produces custom-made steel die-forged parts. The company is a medium-sized manufacturer in the die-forging technology sector.

The high-quality forged parts are used especially in the commercial vehicle industry as well as in the fields of agricultural technology, mechanical engineering, tunnel construction, and mining.

As a Machining Technician (m/f/d), you will manufacture and process sophisticated die and tool parts for the forging industry. With your expertise, diligence, and quality awareness, you will make an important contribution to the production of our high-quality forged parts. • You will process die and tool parts by turning and milling using predefined or self-created programs.
• You will independently set up, adjust, and operate machining centers.
• You will create and optimize simple CNC programs for Siemens and Heidenhain controls.
• You will perform dimensional and quality checks and measure dies and tool parts.
• You will operate and monitor multiple machines as part of multi-machine operation.
• You will transport and handle workpieces and tools using forklifts and crane systems.
• You will ensure compliance with our quality standards and the specified manufacturing guidelines.
• You will actively participate in the continuous optimization of production processes and workflows.

• You have completed vocational training as a Machining Technician (m/f/d) or a comparable technical qualification.
• You have experience in programming and operating CNC machines.
• You are proficient in the safe use of common PC applications.
• Ideally, you possess a forklift and crane operator's license.
• You have good German language skills, both written and spoken.
• You are characterized by a high sense of responsibility as well as an independent and structured way of working.
• You have strong self-management skills and organize your work independently.
• Teamwork skills, reliability, and a high level of quality awareness complete your profile.
