YouTube Thumbnail Designer (m/w/d)

We are a ambitious and successful startup company in film and video production in Viernheim near Mannheim. For our currently largest customer Omid Mouazzen (1 Mio.+ Subscribers), we produce weekly high-reach long-form YouTube videos in the automotive and lifestyle sectors.

We work quickly, ambitious, and have a clear goal: Becoming Germany's largest YouTube channel. To achieve this, we need people who know that the thumbnail is the decisive lever for the success of our videos.

If you're keen on building thumbnails that not only look good but also maximize reach and really perform, then this might be the job for you.

Tasks

• Design eye-catching, emotional YouTube thumbnails for weekly long-form videos
• Translate the story, hook, and tension of a video into a single image
• Independent work from idea to final thumbnail
• Tight collaboration with the entire team directly at our office in Viernheim
• Maintaining deadlines and clear quality standards
• Photographing, preparing, and strategically creating visual material
• Safe use of Photoshop and modern AI tools in the design process
• Ongoing analysis and further development of our thumbnail style

Qualification

• You have a genuine passion for YouTube content
• You bring existing experience in designing thumbnails with you
• You have an extreme sense for image impact, contrasts, typography, and above all emotions
• You master Photoshop like the back of your hand
• You understand the psychology behind a high CTR
• You work structured, reliable, and in a team
• You have very good German language skills
• You are willing to regularly work on-site in Viernheim
• You are motivated to continuously develop yourself
