Focus: Trading news & crypto, explainer videos, and investigative stories – with strong storytelling and a focus on audience retention.

You find strong stories, understand crypto and trading, and can make current news understandable. You research thoroughly and develop YouTube scripts with a clear arc of suspense, strong hooks, and convincing resolutions.

We are looking for a person who brings together creative topic development, scripts, and social media. Our content ranges from controversial, investigative stories to current crypto and market news, as well as trading and explainer videos. Your focus will be on research, dramaturgy, and audience retention.

Your Tasks

Ideation: We never run out of topics

•⁠ ⁠You regularly find topics that are currently relevant and that people want to see, also by building unusual bridges to Bitcoin and financial markets, for example from pop culture, politics, or tech.

•⁠ ⁠You prepare each idea with suitable title suggestions and reference thumbnails so that we can select the strongest topics.

•⁠ ⁠You react quickly to current events so that news videos can go online in a timely manner.

•⁠ You research reel ideas that work for similar creators on Instagram.

Audience Retention: Scripts that hold viewers until the end

•⁠ ⁠You write complete, retention-optimized scripts for YouTube long-form content, from intro to the last chapter, so they can be read directly from the teleprompter.

•⁠ ⁠You develop a hook and value proposition that clearly explain what the video delivers and why it's worth staying for the payoff.

•⁠ ⁠You structure each video in three to four chapters with increasing suspense, so that the strongest comes at the end and the topic has substance.

•⁠ ⁠You occasionally write trading videos about strategies and fundamentals, for example, "If I had to start over as a trader today."

User Retention: Viewers who return

•⁠ ⁠You write short-form content and posts for X (Twitter) that keep the community active between videos.

•⁠ ⁠You ensure that the personal brand sounds recognizable across all formats and builds trust.

Retention-Optimized Copywriting in Everyday Life

•⁠ ⁠You translate complex crypto and trading topics into clear, understandable language, without profit promises and unserious exaggerations.

•⁠ ⁠If necessary, you support the morning research for market updates: news, X, and on-chain data summarized briefly.

•⁠ ⁠You help explain to the editing and motion team what charts, screenshots, and animations a video needs.

•⁠ ⁠You use AI tools for research and speed, but always revise the output yourself. You never adopt a script one-to-one.

What you bring

•⁠ YouTube Scripts: You have already written scripts for longer YouTube videos and can show two to three work samples. You can explain which part you took on yourself and why you structured the video that way.

•⁠ Dramaturgy and Audience Retention: You know how a strong intro works, what questions drive a story forward, and when information has its greatest impact. You recognize when content is dragging and can specifically improve a script.

•⁠ Research: You independently delve into complex topics, check sources, and in investigative stories, clearly separate verified facts, allegations, and your own interpretation.

•⁠ Crypto, Trading, and News: You know the basics of crypto and financial markets, follow current developments, and can quickly categorize relevant news. You don't need to be a professional trader.

•⁠ Creativity: You independently find topics and unusual perspectives – for current news, understandable explainer videos, and investigative stories. You recognize which ideas have enough substance for a longer video.

•⁠ Writing: You write flawless German at a native level. Your texts sound naturally spoken and make even difficult contexts understandable.

•⁠ Social Media: You understand how content is prepared for YouTube, Shorts, and X, and can reliably coordinate its planning and publication.

•⁠ Work Style: You work independently, accept feedback constructively, and adhere to agreements. You are also available for occasional coordination in the evenings, German time.

Not the right fit for you if:

•⁠ Trading and financial markets are new to you and you would have to learn the basics first.

•⁠ ⁠You have only written for lifestyle, beauty, or e-commerce brands so far and financial topics don't really interest you.

•⁠ ⁠You write without subsequently looking at watchtime and retention.

•⁠ ⁠You need clear guidelines and close coordination to get started.
