Job description
Role: Youth Mentor
Rate of pay: £425 - £450 Dependent on experience
Location: Wolverhampton
**About the role**
Connex Education is seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN Youth Mentor to join a welcoming and supportive school in Wolverhampton. In this role, you will work closely with teaching and support staff to provide one-to-one and small group mentoring for children and young people, helping them develop key social, emotional, and behavioural skills. Your responsibilities will include supporting pupils in managing challenges, promoting positive behaviour, and implementing personalised strategies to meet individual needs. You will also liaise with parents and carers to provide updates on progress, contribute to the development of individual support plans, and support pupils in development.

**Role Requirements**
- Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning or Equivalent Level 3 UK Educational qualification is required.
- Previous experience working in Educational is essential.
- A commitment to promoting equality and diversity in the classroom
- An understanding of child protection and safeguarding guidelines
- Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one through Connex Education.
