Youth Forensic Clinician

The Fort St. John Association for Community Living (FSJACL) is a non-profit agency committed to providing quality support to adults with developmental disabilities in the Fort St. John and District since 1960. As a CARF accredited agency, FSJACL boasts a professional staff team of over 80 employees dedicated to offering quality services and opportunities for individuals with developmental disabilities. Collaboration with community partners is integral to achieving the organization's vision of inclusive communities for all. FSJACL is seeking a Youth Forensic Clinician to provide clinical support to youth and their families who are involved with the Ministry of Children and Family Development and/or the Justice system. The Youth Forensic Clinician provides mental health assessments, treatment, and support services to youth and their families. They work collaboratively with the youth, their families, and other professionals involved in their care to develop and implement individualized treatment plans. The Youth Forensic Clinician also participates in case conferences, provides consultation to other professionals, and provides training and education to community members. **Responsibilities:** * Provide comprehensive mental health assessments, including diagnostic evaluations and risk assessments. * Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for youth and their families. * Provide individual, family, and group therapy. * Provide crisis intervention services. * Collaborate with other professionals involved in the youth's care, such as social workers, probation officers, and educators. * Participate in case conferences and provide consultation to other professionals. * Provide training and education to community members. * Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation. * Adhere to ethical and professional standards of practice. **Qualifications:** * Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field. * Registered or eligible for registration with a professional regulatory body (e.g., BC College of Social Workers, College of Registered Psychologists of BC). * Minimum of 3 years of experience providing clinical services to youth and families. * Experience working with youth involved in the justice system and/or the Ministry of Children and Family Development is preferred. * Knowledge of child and adolescent development, mental health disorders, and evidence-based treatment modalities. * Excellent assessment, diagnostic, and treatment skills. * Strong interpersonal and communication skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Ability to maintain confidentiality. **Benefits:** * Competitive salary. * Comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision coverage. * Paid time off. * Professional development opportunities. * Supportive work environment. * Opportunity to make a difference in the lives of youth and families. **To Apply:** Please submit a cover letter and resume, along with 3 professional references to [email protected].
