Yard Manager

Yard Manager - Precast & Formwork | Perth WA

Our client, a well-established Precast & Formwork company based in Perth, is seeking an experienced Yard Manager to oversee daily operations within their busy precast yard.

This role is hands-on and pivotal in ensuring the smooth and safe running of yard activities, including coordination of staff, materials, equipment, and logistics.

You'll be responsible for maintaining high standards of productivity, safety, and quality while supporting project delivery across commercial and civil construction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day operations of the precast yard.
• Oversee yard staff, including scheduling, supervision, and performance management.
• Coordinate the movement, storage, and dispatch of precast panels, formwork, and related materials.
• Ensure all yard equipment, plant, and vehicles are operated safely and maintained.
• Implement and monitor WHS procedures and compliance.
• Work closely with project teams, drivers, and suppliers to meet delivery schedules.
• Maintain yard organisation, stock control, and accurate record keeping.

Skills & Experience:

• Previous experience in a Yard Manager / Yard Supervisor role within precast, formwork, or construction.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Sound understanding of precast handling, formwork systems, and construction logistics.
• Current forklift licence; HR/HC licence highly desirable.
• Commitment to safety and quality assurance.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
