Location: North Curry
Hours: Monday–Friday, 14:00–22:00
Weekend Rotation: 1 in every 4 Saturdays, 08:00–17:00 (day off in lieu provided)
Pay Rate: £13.50 per hour

Are you reliable, hands-on and looking for a varied role that keeps you busy and active? We’re recruiting for a Dual Aspect Yard/Factory Operative to support both outside yard duties and inside factory operations. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a mix of indoor and outdoor work and is happy to get stuck in wherever needed.

Yard & Facility Duties

• Maintain cleanliness, organisation and safety across all yard and storage areas, including:

  • Yard inside/outside the compound

  • Despatch area

  • Dry Goods Store

  • Freezers & Defrost Units

  • Titan Unit

  • Trays/dolav storage areas

  • Storage trailers

  • Waste disposal zones

  • Chemical store

• Ensure stock is rotated by use-by date and kept accessible.

Paperwork & Reporting

• Complete goods-in records, defrost logs, cleaning checks and start-up paperwork.

• Report issues promptly (e.g., full skips, damaged pallets, low stock).

Despatch & Stock Movement

• Receive finished products into the refrigerated despatch room.

• Build tidy, secure pallets to specific customer requirements.

• Load and unload deliveries safely using appropriate equipment.

• Deliver stock to production areas as operationally required.

Factory Support

• Assist within the factory when needed, including handling raw and cooked chicken in chilled environments.

• Follow all food safety, hygiene and site security procedures to maintain audit-ready standards.

• Operate equipment safely and in line with training.

• Comfortable working both outdoors and in refrigerated areas.

• Physically fit and able to handle a hands-on workload.

• Good communication skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to follow strict hygiene, PPE and safety procedures.

• Full PPE is provided.

• The canteen offers a kettle, microwave and toaster for free use.

• Candidates will need to bring their own food as no food is available for purchase on site.

• Nearest shops are approximately a 15-minute drive away.
