Job description
About the Role
Our store in Berlin is the most important physical touchpoint of our brand - a place where people can pick up, try out, and truly understand Stapelstein for the first time. You are in the thick of it: on the shop floor, in conversation with customers, and present when the store becomes a stage for events.
Your Tasks
- You advise customers on the shop floor - with genuine interest in the product and the person, not by script. You take the time to understand what they are looking for and find the right solution together.
- You are present at our events - from setup to the last conversation - and ensure that everyone feels welcome.
- You pitch in wherever help is needed - whether it's with setup and takedown, inventory management, or when things get hectic on the shop floor.
Your Profile
- You love direct contact with people - especially families and children - and advise them honestly and with passion.
- You are interested in movement, play, and design and can inspire others to be too.
- You are reliable, flexible, and ideally live near the store.
- You speak fluent German and proficient English.
- You are willing to work a 4-5 hour shift on three Saturdays per month.
What's Important to Us
- Stapelstein is not just a job for you - it's a mission you truly stand behind.
- For you, respectful, empathetic interaction is not a checkbox - but the foundation on which good collaboration is built.
- Challenges don't slow you down - they make you curious.
- You think creatively and entrepreneurially - you find ways where others see obstacles, and you are truly effective in your roles.
- You take real responsibility and make decisions with conviction - without anyone having to ask.
- You don't need external structure - you create it yourself.
- You don't use AI because everyone else is doing it - but because you understand that it fundamentally changes the way we work.
What We Offer
- Starting is possible at any time.
- A fair, market-standard salary package.
- Remote-first - in Germany and occasionally from abroad.
- Flexible working hours with a common core time of 9 AM to 12 PM.
- Overtime is fully compensated with time off.
- Monthly team meet-ups in Stuttgart or Berlin. Time to work together in the same room, advance projects, and exchange ideas in person.
- Two inspiring offsites per year, because a real team spirit needs its space despite remote-first.
- Flexible benefits such as a shopping budget, mobility allowance, or Urban Sports - after passing the probationary period.
