Your role as Laborant Klinische Studies
As a laboratory technician, you are the hub in the lab work of early phase clinical studies. You analyze samples of experimental medications – often for the first time tested on humans. Each study is unique, and that makes your work even more fascinating.
You work with a broad range of bodily fluids (blood, urine, saliva, cerebrospinal fluid...) and apply various laboratory techniques. You perform analyses that are crucial for understanding the working of new medicines. Think about:
- Carrying out complex sample processing and innovative laboratory techniques
- Developing special technologies such as PBMC tests and biomarker strategies
- Reporting and controlling data, including corrective actions
- Collaborating on study preparation, transporting biological materials, and quality controls
- Training new colleagues and participating in study-related meetings
