RESEARCH ASSISTANT WITH TEACHING RESPONSIBILITIES IN TECHNICAL MECHANICS REFERENCE NUMBER 065/26 START DATE 01.09.2026 PAYMENT EG 13 TV-L APPLICATION DEADLINE 23.08.2026This is a permanent full-time position. Part-time employment is generally possible, taking into account operational requirements.
At the Faculty of Aviation and Vehicle Systems (LFS) at the Berliner Tor campus, we research and develop innovative solutions for tomorrow's mobility – in the air, on the road, and on rail. Around 70 employees in teaching, research, and administration support approximately 1,600 students in the fields of aircraft engineering, automotive engineering, and mechatronics.
We combine scientific excellence with practice-oriented teaching and foster a learning environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and independent thinking. In modern laboratories and interdisciplinary projects, we inspire students about technical contexts and enable them to actively shape the mobility of the future.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Independent execution of teaching courses in fundamental and advanced subjects of Technical Mechanics, as well as introductory courses
- Supervision of students for Bachelor's, Master's, homework, and project theses, as well as in the main internship of the Bachelor's program
- Development and adaptation of teaching content for seminar-based instruction for the methodical, application-oriented teaching of Technical Mechanics topics
- Involvement in the development of study programs and teaching
- Involvement in practice-oriented research and development tasks, including technology transfer
YOUR PROFILE
Formal Requirements- Academic university degree (Master's or equivalent) in Automotive Engineering, Aircraft Engineering, Mechatronics, or a comparable field
- Experience in independent teaching at a technically oriented university
- In-depth knowledge in the application-oriented use of current methods for simulating mechanical systems
- In-depth knowledge in the calculation and simulation of nonlinear mechanical systems
- Pedagogical and didactical expertise, as well as organizational, team, and cooperation skills
