Aufgaben

Project Description:

Although the 2G layer (GSM) is being gradually shut down in public mobile networks, Nokia-2G technology remains relevant in many networks until ~2030 (e.g., for M2M, special customers, fallback, authorities, legacy services). Correspondingly, there are ongoing engineering, operation, and compliance tasks, including lawful interception (LI).

Tasks:

• Planning & Optimization of 2G cells
• Frequency & Interference Management
• Integration/Deintegration
• GSM/Legacy Network Support & Mapping

Qualification

• A successful degree in engineering or a related field with a focus on telecommunications or computer science, or equivalent qualification
• In-depth understanding of the GSM network architecture and technical relationships within a mobile network
• Experience in planning, optimizing, and analyzing GSM frequencies
• Safe handling of common planning and optimization methods
• Practical experience with Nokia BSS components, such as BSC, BTS/BCF
