Project Description:

Although the 2G layer (GSM) is being gradually shut down in public mobile networks, Nokia-2G technology remains relevant in many networks until around 2030 (e.g., for M2M, special customers, fallback, authorities, legacy services). Correspondingly, there are still engineering, operation, and compliance tasks, including lawful interception.

• Surveillance & Troubleshooting
• SLA-Security
• Hardware Replacement (EOL/EOS)
• Software Maintenance
• Coincidence of 2G/LTE/5G
• M2M/IoT Legacy Customers
• Network Operation & Fault Handling

Qualification

• SUCCESSFUL completion of a degree in engineering with a focus on telecommunications or information technology or an equivalent qualification
• In-depth understanding of the GSM network architecture and technical relationships within a mobile network
• Experience in planning, optimizing, and analyzing GSM frequencies
• Precise handling of common planning and optimization methods
• Practical experience with Nokia BSS components, such as BSC, BTS/BCF
