Windows Installer Developer (Electron)

Join EMOTIONstudios, a leader in crafting exceptional digital experiences, as a Windows Installer Developer. We are seeking a talented individual to package and distribute a desktop application built with Electron, focusing on Windows installers and distribution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain a Windows installer for an Electron-based desktop app.
• Package and distribute an Electron application with a Kotlin-based backend.
• Configure installers (MSI / EXE) including installation & uninstallation flows, auto-updates, versioning, code signing, and permissions.
• Ensure smooth behavior across different Windows environments.
• Collaborate with the engineering team on release and deployment requirements.
• Troubleshoot installer, packaging, and distribution issues.

What We Are Looking For:

• Strong experience building Windows installers (MSI, EXE, NSIS, Inno Setup, Squirrel, or similar).
• Proven hands-on experience with Electron in production environments.
• Solid understanding of Windows application distribution and system behavior.
• Experience with app packaging, file system layout, and startup behavior.
• Ability to work independently and deliver production-ready solutions.
• Good English communication skills (written and spoken).

Nice to Have:

• Experience with code signing and certificate management.
• Familiarity with auto-update mechanisms.
• Understanding of JVM-based or native backend applications (no Kotlin coding required).
