Working on the technical installations at Schiphol is anything but standard. As a Mechanical Engineering Preparer at BAM Bouw en Techniek, you ensure that maintenance, renovation, and new construction projects run smoothly. From climate control systems in terminal buildings to technical facilities in parking garages, fire stations, and operational buildings: your preparation makes the difference.

Make it possible
As a Mechanical Engineering Preparer, you are the connecting link between engineering, execution, suppliers, and the client. You translate technical designs into an executable approach, monitor progress, and ensure that people, materials, and information are available at the right time.
- Preparing work plans, schedules, and material lists;
- Translating technical designs into practical execution;
- Preparing mechanical engineering maintenance, renovation, and installation projects;
- Coordinating material procurement and deliveries;
- Liaising with project managers, engineers, suppliers, and mechanics;
- Working within BIM environments and managing project information;
- Preparing and managing technical files and ILS documentation;
- Identifying risks, deviations, and opportunities for improvement;
- Monitoring quality, safety, and progress.

Your team
You will join BAM Bouw en Techniek Schiphol. Together with over 200 colleagues, we work on the management, maintenance, and further development of, among other things, Terminal 3, Schiphol Plaza, parking facilities, and other essential locations at the airport.

This is you
You are a technically strong work preparer who maintains an overview, thinks ahead, and enjoys collaborating.
Additionally, you possess:
- A minimum of an MBO 4 diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Installation Technology;
- Experience as a Mechanical Engineering Preparer, Installation Technology Preparer, or similar;
- Experience within utilities, building services installations, or management & maintenance;
- Experience with BIM, Revit, or similar systems;
- Good command of the Dutch language;
- An eye for safety, quality, and process improvement.
