Project Engineer / Infrastructure Coordinator (Gent)

Welcome to our vacancy for the position of project engineer.

Currently, Willemen Infra is looking for a project engineer / infrastructure coordinator to strengthen our teams. (place of employment: Drongen)

Your tasks and responsibilities

• You will be involved as a project engineer in the preparation and follow-up of the execution of challenging road construction projects.
• You will work together with the project leader and site manager before, during, and after the execution of a project
• You will prepare both administrative and operational matters and thereby ensure that all aspects of the project run smoothly
• You have an eye for safety and quality, planning, cost control, and other practical problems on the project
• You actively participate in site meetings and ensure correct reporting
• You investigate and work out variant execution procedures, both technically and financially
• You assist buyers, among others, by preparing price inquiries and ultimately placing orders
• You collect the execution plans of subcontractors and coordinate the different plans
• You are willing to follow additional training courses
• You can operate from our office in Drongen where our supporting services are located, as well as on-site

Your profile

• You hold a bachelor's or master's degree in civil engineering or land surveying
• Experience as a project engineer or site manager is a plus point
• Experience in road construction is a plus point
• You are concerned with safety and take that into account when working out execution methods
• You are creative and price-conscious
• You can work well with Autocad (minimum basic knowledge is a must), MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Project (or willing to learn)
• You are a born planner and organizer
