What if you are working on one of the largest energy infrastructure projects in the Netherlands?
The 2GW onshore substation at Maasvlakte forms the link between offshore wind farms and the national high-voltage grid and supplies electricity for approximately 2 million households. For the realization phase, we are looking for an experienced civil works preparer who can maintain an overview in a technically complex and multidisciplinary project.

Make it possible

As a civil works preparer, you are responsible for the technical preparation and support of the execution of the 2GW project. You will work closely with site managers, the project organization, and (international) subcontractors, ensuring that the work is carried out safely, controlled, and according to schedule.
Your tasks include:

• Preparation and elaboration of civil works such as foundations, concrete structures, construction pits, and site development.
• Drawing up and monitoring schedules, work plans, and phasing plans.
• Coordinating technical information with design, execution, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Checking drawings, models, and technical specifications.
• Identifying and managing risks in the areas of safety, quality, schedule, and costs.
• Monitoring quantities, additional and reduced work, and progress.
• Documenting and following up on deviations and changes.
• Actively contributing to safe execution on the construction site.

Your team

You will work on the 2GW onshore substation Maasvlakte (Rotterdam) project. This is also your primary work location. Depending on the project, there will be regular consultations with colleagues from design and project control, for example in Gouda.

The project is characterized by:

• Large civil concrete structures.
• Complex phasing and logistics in an industrial environment.
• Collaboration with multiple BAM disciplines and international partners.

• A salary between € 4,100 and € 7,254 gross per month, depending on your knowledge and experience (based on a 40-hour work week).

This is you

You are a works preparer who brings structure, looks ahead, and can practically translate technical issues into execution. You can easily switch between detail and overview and dare to address bottlenecks in a timely manner.

Additionally:

• You have at least an MBO (vocational) or HBO (higher professional education) diploma in Civil Engineering.
• You have several years of experience as a works preparer in civil or industrial projects.
• You have knowledge of concrete structures, phasing plans, and civil work methodologies.
• You work in a structured manner and are strong in communication.
• You have experience with common software such as Office, AutoCAD, and preferably BIM environments.
