Your Tasks

Welcome to SIMCON – a leading high-tech software company in the field of Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE). With over 30 years of experience, we develop innovative simulation solutions for the plastics industry and support companies worldwide in the efficient development and optimization of plastic components.

To support our Application Engineering team, we are looking for a dedicated working student in the field of Simulation & Application Engineering. In this role, you will actively participate in real simulation and customer projects and gain deep insights into modern CAE and injection molding processes.

Collaboration on Simulation Projects:
You will support our team in the preparation, execution, and evaluation of simulation projects in the field of plastics injection molding, including through:

  • Execution of internal simulation projects
  • Participation in customer projects and technical services
  • Creation and execution of benchmark simulations
  • Analysis, interpretation, and documentation of simulation results

Support with Learning and Training Content:
You will contribute to the creation and preparation of technical content for various learning formats, e.g.:
  • Online Academy content
  • Training materials
  • Tutorials and self-learning materials
  • Presentations and technical documentation

Support in Technical Customer Support:
You will support our team in handling technical customer inquiries, for example, by:
  • Assisting with support cases
  • Following up on customer inquiries
  • Preparing technical information and solution approaches


Your Profile

  • Enrolled student in the field of Mechanical Engineering, Plastics Technology, Industrial Engineering, or in a comparable degree program.
  • Technical understanding and interest in simulation and injection molding technology.
  • Structured, independent, and reliable work style.
  • Good German and English language skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
Desirable:
  • Initial experience with CAD or simulation software.
  • Initial experience with AI tools or coding agents (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, GitHub Copilot).
Important: You don't have to have everything – what counts are your willingness to learn, curiosity, and enthusiasm for technical topics.
