Working Student* Public Sector - AI Strategy & Innovation

dida is one of the leading Machine Learning agencies with assignments and projects in science, industry, and the public sector. Our team, which mainly consists of Machine Learning Scientists, contributes to new insights and innovations in the field of Artificial Intelligence.
We want to contribute to the conscious development and integration of Machine Learning in all areas of society.
Become part of our Public Sector team and support us in winning public AI digital projects at ministries, health insurance companies, or authorities at EU, federal, and state levels, thus helping to shape the administration of the future.

You will:

• Be part of our Public Sector team and take on diverse tasks to help build a young and successful business area.

• Explore new business areas by identifying innovation potential at the interface between AI and the public sector (EU, federal, and states).

• Support client contact with public demand carriers through your preparation for and participation in meetings.

• And the most technical part (not a must): Contribute to the design of AI project concepts in collaboration with our Machine Learning Scientists.

• You are studying in an economic or technical degree program and are interested in technology and its application.

• You think entrepreneurially and are eager to gain customer experience: recognize opportunities, approach people, co-develop proposals.

• You work independently, in a structured manner, and have a high capacity for learning.

• Not a must, but a plus: You have gained initial understanding of the interests of important stakeholders in public administration, whether from internships, working student experiences, or your studies.

• Not a must, but a plus: You have already shown entrepreneurial initiative or had initial contact with business development.

• If you live in Berlin, it's a plus; you are studying for at least 3 more semesters and want to work at least 16 hours per week.

• Your German is at least C1 level; at the same time, you can communicate with colleagues within the company in English. Without at least C1, we unfortunately cannot consider your application.

• Apply your motivation and commitment in an environment where they are valued. You can expect valuable experience in close collaboration with company and business unit management.

• Take on varied, responsible, and strategic tasks at the interface between business and the public sector.

• Conceptualize exciting projects, such as the identification of illegal mines in the rainforest, object detection on rails for Deutsche Bahn, the development of a semantic search for the Business Service Portal of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, which enables citizens to access public administration services, or the AI-supported AI digitalization of business processes at a large statutory health insurance company.
