User Rights advocates for the protection of fundamental rights on social media. If content is unfairly blocked or prohibited content is not deleted, User Rights supports the enforcement of these rights.
As Germany's first independent dispute resolution body for social media platforms, we shape the legal framework of the digital space actively - and contribute to the protection of fundamental rights and democracy on the internet.
We are looking for an engaged student assistant or intern (m/w/d) who wants to work at the interface of law, technology, and social media.
Tasks
- Case processing: Research, analyze, and document complaints against social media platforms.
- Data management: Maintenance and administration of case files, preparation of databases.
- Communication: Correspondence with affected users and social media platforms to obtain information and inform about the procedure.
- Support of the founding team: Participation in reports, presentations, and documentation.
- Project work: Participation in internal projects for process optimization.
Qualification
- You speak German at a native level and secure English. French or Italian language skills are also an asset.
- You are interested in social media, digital rights, and working in a start-up.
- You are structured and communicative.
- Enrolled student (required for student assistantship)
You have no experience with databases or legal topics? No problem, for us it counts that you work structured, are communicative, and bring an eye for details.
Benefits
- A central role in a young, dynamic team that sets standards for the future of dispute resolution.
- You can also complete your internship with us - with the possibility of a subsequent employment.
- Insights into a forward-looking field and the opportunity to actively promote freedom of opinion and fundamental rights in the digital context
- Flexible working hours, remote work, 30 days of vacation (based on a 5-day week) and the opportunity to take on responsibility.
- A central & modern office in Berlin-Kreuzberg.
Interested? Then apply now and shape the digital future with us.
We value diversity and welcome people of all ethnicities, genders, sexual orientations, religions, ages, disabilities, and family situations.
Let's shape the digital future together!
