Welcome to the heart of Octopus Energy! As a Working Student (m/f/d) People, you will work directly in the holding company, closely with our Team Lead People, and support all German entities in the areas of electricity, smart meters, heat pumps, and EV. Our People Team is the central hub for all HR matters. Thanks to flexible working hours, the role can be perfectly combined with your lectures and exam periods. Your tasks:

  • Employee Support & HR Admin (approx. 60%): You will be the first point of contact for our employees and managers in daily business. You will manage personnel files, maintain our HR tool HiBob, administer benefits, and answer inquiries in the HR inbox.

  • Projects & Process Optimization (approx. 20%): You will support exciting HR projects (e.g., Corporate Social Responsibility like campaigns with the food bank) and actively contribute your own ideas to improve existing processes.

  • Daily Organization & Support: You will keep the HR area running smoothly in terms of organization, using modern digital tools.

    • Your profile:

  • Personality: You are very communicative, proactively approach people, and possess high resilience as well as a dynamic but down-to-earth attitude.

  • Work style: You work in a well-structured, organized manner and have a high degree of discretion and confidentiality when dealing with sensitive personal data.

  • Experience: Initial practical experience in the mentioned HR tasks is a plus, but not a must – the right attitude counts!

  • Language skills: Fluent German; English skills are an advantage.

  • Willingness to travel: Occasional travel within Germany is ideally feasible within the scope of your studies.

  • Tool affinity: Confident use and/or quick onboarding with one or more of the tools used (Slack, HiBob, Notion, Asana, Google Workspace & Benefit tools).
