Working Student (m/f/d) IT Enterprise Architecture & System Landscape

CargoBeamer continuously develops its digital services, IT systems, and operational processes. To ensure that our IT landscape keeps pace with the company's growth, we are creating transparency regarding existing systems, interfaces, data flows, and responsibilities.
As a working student (m/f/d) in IT Enterprise Architecture & System Landscape, you will support our IT and architecture team in the structured recording and modeling of our IT landscape. In doing so, you will learn how business processes, applications, data, technologies, and integrations are brought together in an enterprise architecture model. You will work closely with the Enterprise Architect, IT managers, business departments, product owners, and external service providers. This will give you practical insight into Enterprise Architecture Management, IT Governance, and the digitalization of an internationally growing logistics company.

Your tasks:

• Support in the structured recording of the existing IT landscape
• Recording and documentation of applications, systems, platforms, interfaces, and technical components
• Recording of system responsibilities, usage contexts, lifecycles, and dependencies
• Support in modeling business, application, data, and technology architectures
• Support in creating and maintaining central architecture and system overviews
• Documentation of data flows, integrations, and interfaces between applications
• Preparation and follow-up of interviews and workshops with IT and business departments
• Compilation of information from existing documentation, tickets, contracts, and system documents
• Identification of information gaps, inconsistencies, and outdated entries
• Contribution to the development of standards, templates, and modeling guidelines
• Support in creating architecture documentation, decision papers, and management overviews
• Preparation of evaluations for assessing system dependencies, redundancies, and modernization needs
• Following up on open points and coordination with the respective system owners

• Enrolled student, ideally in Computer Science, Business Informatics, IT Management, Digital Business, or a comparable field of study
• Ideally, at least one more year until graduation
• You can support us long-term with approx. 15-20 hours per week (hybrid, once a week on-site at our office in Leipzig)
• Interest in Enterprise Architecture, IT system landscapes, and digital business processes
• Ability to grasp complex issues in a structured manner and present them clearly
• Very meticulous, analytical, and independent way of working
• Enjoyment of interviews, workshops, and collaboration with various stakeholders
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio, or comparable modeling tools
• Very good German and good English skills, both written and spoken

• Initial knowledge of Enterprise Architecture Management or IT Governance
• Basic understanding of the TOGAF framework or comparable architectural approaches
• Initial basics with ArchiMate, UML, or other modeling languages
• Basic knowledge in application, data, integration, or technology architecture
• Initial experience in documenting business processes and system dependencies
• Interest in cloud technologies, APIs, data flows, and cybersecurity
