Work Student (m/w/d) in Software Development Area

We are looking for a work student (m/w/d) in software development, who/which will expand our role-based authorization system (RBAC) in our open-source product FLECS Core. From conception to implementation and delivery as a standalone system container, you will accompany the feature throughout the entire software development lifecycle and work closely with other developers.

You work well in a team, pay attention to details, and find good solutions on your own when it gets tricky.

Tasks

You build the role-based authorization system (RBAC) in our FLECS Core, from conception to implementation and delivery as a standalone system container. This includes:

• Automated creation of app clients and automatic forwarding of client secrets to the starting app instance
• Development of an own system container for RBAC
• Shared configuration between FLECS Core and RBAC container for casbin files
• Integration of app client permissions into the app manifest
• Inquiry of required permissions from the user during installation
• Development of unit and integration tests
• Collaboration with other developers and writing technical documentation

Qualification

• You are studying computer science or a similar field and have first experiences with software design and development
• Knowledge of the programming language Rust and application of frameworks/tools (e.g. git, cargo, docker)
• Motivation to learn new languages and technologies
• High level of detail accuracy
• High degree of self-organization and independent work
