At Klim, we work with farmers and food companies to make regenerative agriculture scalable and financially attractive for farmers. Through our platform, we support farmers in restoring soil health, promoting biodiversity, and sequestering CO₂ – while simultaneously opening up new, reliable income streams.

As a Berlin-based AgriTech startup – supported by a Series A funding of 22 million US dollars – we collaborate with leading global food companies such as Nestlé and Kaufland. Together, we are reducing emissions in their supply chains and strengthening long-term resilience. Since 2020, we have already supported 3,500 farmers, who together manage over 900,000 hectares.

Your Mission

Klim supports farmers and companies in the transition to regenerative agriculture. Klim has developed a digital platform that offers farms a simple way to document their regenerative measures, obtain financing for the measures they have implemented, and benefit from the expertise of a dedicated community. Together with agricultural farms and participating companies, Klim is committed through this work to sustainably reducing CO₂ emissions in agriculture, improving soil health, and promoting biodiversity. To ensure the quality and integrity of the work, Klim has developed its own Monitoring, Reporting, and Verification process (MRV).

As part of our MRV (Monitoring, Reporting and Verification) team, you will ensure the quality and transparency of our results in close cooperation with our agricultural partner farms.

Your Tasks

• You will work as a working student in our verification team. Your task will be to verify farm data with regard to the measures implemented by the farms.

• You will carefully review farm documents such as agricultural applications, field parcel records, fertilizer needs assessments, seed receipts, service invoices, and inventory lists, and check that the data on our platform is consistent with the documentation.

• With your agricultural expertise, you will check the plausibility of the regenerative measures used, such as crop rotations, fertilizer use, and soil management.

• You will be in close contact with agricultural farms to clarify questions.

• Through your work, you will ensure that the CO₂ sequestration and savings calculated by our model have actually been achieved.

Your Profile

• You are currently enrolled as a student at a German university, preferably in Agricultural Sciences, Environmental Sciences, or a comparable field – or you have practical experience in agriculture, e.g., through your personal background

• You have a strong interest in regenerative agriculture and sustainable solutions.

• You are open and enjoy direct communication with agricultural farms – by phone and email.

• Independent, structured, and responsible work is a matter of course for you.

• You are proficient in using digital tools.

• You speak fluent German, both written and spoken; English skills are an advantage.
