Working Student*in in Community Management
Job description
To support our Easy German team, we are looking for a student (m/f/d) in part-time Community Management as soon as possible. You will help us support our members and stay in contact with our online community on various channels. Become part of our international community and support people all over the world in learning German!
Tasks
What you do with us:
- You answer e-mail inquiries about our videos, podcast and membership program.
- You support and assist our community on Discord and in weekly Zoom calls while they learn German.
- You participate in the publication of content on our social media channels (YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok), moderate comments and messages, and ensure a positive, appreciative community atmosphere.
- You work on the creation of video transcripts.
- You keep the team informed about developments in the community and assist with administrative tasks.
Qualification
What you should bring:
- You enjoy helping people learn German and feel comfortable in online communication and moderating calls.
- You have German language skills at C2 level or higher in spoken and written form, as well as business fluent English skills.
- You are creative, social media savvy and quickly familiarise yourself with new tools; initial experience in community management or customer support is a plus.
- Ideally, you are studying in the field of languages (e.g. German studies, DaF, linguistics) or in communication/social media management.
- You work in a structured and self-organised manner – also remotely – and, as a registered student, you can work about 10 hours per week (including weekend work).
Benefits
What awaits you with us:
- Flexibility: A friendly working environment with a trusting and relaxed atmosphere. Depending on the situation, you can choose your working hours and your preferred place of work – whether in the home office or in our office in Berlin-Mitte.
- Team spirit: You will become part of a small, international and highly motivated team. We do our best every day – without taking ourselves too seriously and without forgetting to have fun.
- Adventure: We organise annual Easy Languages team retreats as well as networking meetings with our international partners.
- Impact: Our work enables millions of people worldwide to learn languages. With us you will become part of a passionate and networked international community.
- Continuous growth: We value your further development and offer you the opportunity to invest up to 10% of your working time in expanding your professional skills – be it to deepen technical expertise or to strengthen your soft skills.
- Work-Life-Balance: Enjoy six weeks of paid vacation, as well as days off at Christmas and New Year's Eve, as well as the statutory holidays of your location.
- Remote Work & Benefits: Whether in the home office or in the office, we ensure that you can work comfortably and productively.
Inclusion & Diversity
We value diversity, different experiences and perspectives and are committed to equal opportunities in our personnel policy. We welcome applications from people with different backgrounds, identities and experiences – no matter what origin, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, whether you have a disability or how old you are.
Do you feel like actively shaping our community and supporting German learners from all over the world?
Then we look forward to your application! Please tell us a little about yourself, your experiences and why you are interested in working with our community.
