Working Student: Finance (m/f/d) Controlling and Digital Processes

We offer private and business customers an extensive range of products in the areas of heating, bathrooms, air conditioning, pumps, and much more. In this way, we are creating modern purchasing options in one of the key markets for the success of the energy transition. Our product range for existing and new buildings consists solely of quality goods from premium manufacturers.

We are looking for reinforcements to build our finance department. Are you in?

Tasks

Our finance department is growing along with the company. In parallel, we are transitioning invoice verification, payment reconciliation, and reporting to automated and AI-based processes. You will work on both: ongoing financial business and the systems behind it.

• Further development of our financial processes and the underlying systems, which you will actively drive forward together with management and IT
• Controlling and Reporting: Development of analyses, key figures, and planning with which management and departments work
• Liquidity planning and rolling forecast as a regular routine
• Working Capital analysis, from payment terms to the costs of our payment providers
• Point of contact for the management team in financial matters
• Point of contact for our suppliers, e.g., for rejected invoices, account reconciliations, and other reconciliation needs
• Clarification of unclear invoices and payments, as well as analysis of recurring error sources to ensure they disappear permanently
• Collaboration with our tax firm on monthly and annual financial statements, as well as ongoing accounting questions

Qualification

• You are enrolled as a student, ideally in Business Administration, Business Informatics, Finance, or a comparable field, and still have at least two years of study ahead of you.
• You want to understand why a process is stuck, rather than correcting the symptom by hand again and again.
• Technical affinity, confident use of Excel, and a desire to build your own analyses and AI-supported processes and solutions yourself.
• First experience with controlling, accounting, or bookkeeping is a plus, but not a prerequisite.
• You approach people and resolve issues directly, both internally and with suppliers and our tax firm.
• Strong communication skills in German, both spoken and written.
• A structured way of working and perseverance round off your profile.

We are deliberately not looking for someone for classic accounting routine, but for someone who will proactively shape our digital financial processes.
