Working Student: Finance & Accounting

At VESTIGAS, you will build the digital foundation of the construction supply chain: We turn orders, delivery notes, and invoices into a digital, legally compliant platform used in the daily operations of construction companies and suppliers. You will work on a product with real market penetration in a huge DACH mid-market, deliver results iteratively, and take ownership of solutions that need to work in practice, not just in concept.

As a Working Student: Finance & Accounting, you will support us in ensuring that VESTIGAS's financial processes run reliably in daily operations. You will work on invoices, open items, accounting documents, and the preparation of our financial statements, among other things.

This is not just about completing existing tasks. Many of our finance processes are currently being established and further developed. Therefore, you will gain direct insight into how the finance function of a growing early-stage startup is created – and can actively contribute to making processes more structured, efficient, and scalable.

You will work closely with our Finance Manager and our tax advisor. Initially, you will learn our processes and systems, take on operational tasks, and gradually expand your own area of responsibility.

• You will pre-book incoming invoices as well as travel and expense reports in Moss and prepare the accounting documents for our tax advisor.
• You will create customer invoices and take care of following up on outstanding receivables.
• You will reconcile open items on the debit and credit sides, keep an eye on due dates, and clarify discrepancies.
• You will maintain accounting and contract documents and ensure a complete, traceable filing system.
• You will participate in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements and learn how the individual finance processes come together.
• You will support the development of new finance and accounting processes, contribute your own suggestions for improvement, and, with increasing experience, independently take over selected topics.

• You are studying economics, business administration, or a comparable degree program – ideally with a focus on finance, accounting, or taxes.
• Ideally, you have initial practical experience in Finance & Accounting, e.g., through an internship, apprenticeship, or a previous working student position.
• You work in a structured, accurate, and reliable manner, even with recurring tasks and under deadline pressure.
• You have a good understanding of numbers and are interested in understanding and improving accounting relationships.
• You live within reasonable proximity to our location in Munich and are willing to be present in the office regularly.
• You are proficient in Excel or Google Sheets; initial experience with spend management tools is a plus.
• You have native-level German skills and good English skills.
