Job description

You organize well, keep track of many small tasks, and have a desire to experience events not just from your desk, but also on-site? Then this might be a good fit for you.

The ITCS is a tech conference, job fair, and festival all in one. We host our events in several cities across Germany and connect tech, career, and community in a way that's hard to find elsewhere.

We're looking for a student assistant*in for event and project management for approximately 20 hours per week. You'll support us in preparing, organizing, and implementing our events at our office in Frankfurt and on-site at our events.

Social media affinity is very welcome, as there are always content, insights, and themes around our events that we want to make visible to the outside world.

Aufgaben

What you'll do:

  • You'll support in planning, coordination, and organization of our tech events
  • You'll help with taking care of exhibitors, partners, and speakers before and during the events
  • You'll maintain lists, documents, timings, and organizational information
  • You'll support in preparing event materials, briefings, checklists, and preparation for trade show days
  • You'll work closely with event management, sales, marketing, and technology teams
  • You'll be on-site at our events and support with setup, during the event day, and organizational tasks
  • You'll help with social media themes around our events, such as ideas, content preparation, insights from the event, or simple postings
  • You'll use digital tools and AI tools to research, text work, documentation, and workflow optimization

Qualifikation

What you should bring:

  • You're an enrolled student*in
  • You have approximately 20 hours per week available
  • You can regularly come to our office in Frankfurt am Main
  • You're willing to participate in events on-site in various cities across Germany
  • You're aware that event assignments may include travel days and setup days. For Friday events, this typically means at least Thursday and Friday, with possible return travel on Saturday
  • You work reliably, structured, and carefully
  • You communicate well and friendly with different contact partners
  • You have very good German language skills in writing and speaking
  • You're confident in using Microsoft 365, particularly Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • You have interest in social media and a good feeling for content, language, and target groups
  • You're open to the use of AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude, Canva AI or similar applications

Plus points are:

  • First experience with events, fairs, university groups, associations, gastro, promotion, or project work
  • Experience with social media, Canva, content creation, or simple graphic/video formats
  • Driver's license class B
  • Interest in tech-, career- & AI-themes

Benefits

What we offer:

  • A student assistant position with approximately 20 hours per week
  • A small, friendly team with a relaxed work atmosphere and short distances
  • Insights into real event organization instead of theory
  • Events where you'll see firsthand what you've worked on
  • A flexible, future-oriented environment with exciting tech themes and formats
  • Variety in tasks that allow you to learn new things
  • Room for your own ideas, especially in the area of social media and event communication
  • Modern working style with digital tools and AI support
  • A workplace in Frankfurt am Main

We're not looking for someone who just wants to fit in a few hours
