Job description
Spare companies valuable time. Our mission is to fully automate document-based processes, freeing up our clients like EG Group, WWF, Flink, and Axel Springer to focus on what matters – and take care of the paperwork.
To deliver an outstanding customer experience, we work together as one team at Product, Engineering, Design, Operations, and Customer Success.
As a Werkstudent*in Business Automation Engineer, you'll be part of the Product Team, actively shaping how processes are optimized and automated – with a strong focus on technical automation and AI.
Tasks
- You support analyzing existing business processes across various departments, understand how things work, and help identify Automations- and Optimization-Potentials.
- You work on conceiving and implementing automations – from simple workflows to AI-supported processes.
- You support the development of Automations around Support Bots and AI Applications (e.g., LLM-based Use Cases).
- You collaborate closely with Product, Finance, Sales, Customer Support, and Operations to sustainably reduce manual workflows.
- You set technical automations in place using common solutions like Zapier and AWS Lambda.
- You bring your expertise into team-wide projects to streamline internal processes, data flows, and communication.
Qualification
- You're currently enrolled in a degree program in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable technical field.
- You bring an analytical, curious, and solution-oriented mindset and enjoy questioning and improving processes.
- You have first-hand knowledge of JavaScript and/or Python.
- You've already had some experience with process automation or are interested in the topic.
- You possess basic knowledge of databases, ideally PostgreSQL.
- You're interested in or have experience working with artificial intelligence and modern AI systems.
- You communicate confidently in German and English and enjoy working collaboratively.
Bonus Points
- First-hand experience with APIs, Webhooks, and system-wide integrations
- Familiarity with No-Code/ Low-Code Tools and Workflow Platforms
- Initial exposure to Support or Service Automation
- Experience in SaaS-, product-oriented, or consulting environments
Benefits
Benefits
- You'll be part of an open, friendly, and ambitious team where we support each other and you can learn a lot.
- We don't believe in micro-management. We trust your abilities and give you the freedom to act independently.
- Hybrid work: You can decide whether to work from home or the office. A residence in Berlin and willingness to meet your colleagues at our fantastic office in Kreuzberg are, however, required.
- On top, there are attractive benefits like a contribution to Urban Sports, BVG, or other mobility providers.
We're looking forward to your application! Diversity is not just a program point for us – it's our conviction. Age, gender, background, disability, sexual identity – all are welcome. And if you don't check every box: Apply anyway. The most exciting people rarely fit the perfect checklist.
We don't have a rigid 9-to-5 work model. We prioritize flexibility and efficiency. You decide how you work best and what you need to get there. As long as performance is on track, and we achieve great things together, anything is possible.
