Working Student Video Editor / Cutter Social Media (m/f/d)

We are GORNATION, a sports brand from Münster, founded in 2015 with the mission to strengthen Calisthenics worldwide. Our products are used in over 100 countries, from training equipment to streetwear. We reach over 270,000 people on Instagram. To further grow our short-form output, we are looking for reinforcements for our content and social media team.

As a working student, you will edit Reels, Shorts, and TikToks for Organic & Paid Social and contribute your own ideas. You will gain real-world experience with content that goes live and performs. We plan long-term: Our goal is for you to join us full-time after your graduation in 2027.

Work Model: 15–20 hours/week, flexibly scheduled around your lectures, on-site in Münster. Start immediately, with the prospect of full-time employment in 2027.

Responsibilities

• Editing Organic Content: You will turn raw footage, athlete content, shoots, UGC, and product videos into Reels, Shorts, and TikToks for our channels.
• Implementing Paid Ads: You will edit ad creatives with different hooks, lengths, aspect ratios, and text overlays. You will also adapt videos for our online shop.
• Implementing Feedback: You will coordinate closely with Social Media, Content, and Marketing and implement adjustments quickly and cleanly.
• Scouting Trends: You will monitor sounds, editing styles, and formats and bring suitable ideas for GORNATION.
• Assisting with Shoots: You will assist with shoots and film Reels, Ads, and Behind-the-Scenes clips with a smartphone or camera.
• Organizing Footage: You will review, name, and archive material so the team can access it quickly at any time.

Qualifications

• Studies with Graduation in 2027: You are enrolled at a university or college and are expected to complete your studies in the course of next year. Studies in media, film, or communication are a plus, but not a requirement.
• Long-Term Perspective: You can imagine joining us full-time after graduation.
• Passion for Sports: You have a strong connection to sports, ideally to Calisthenics or strength training. You recognize proper execution, know which moves impress, and showcase athletes in a way that the community celebrates.
• Initial Editing Experience: Your own channels, university projects, or freelance jobs count just as much as professional experience.
• Editing Tools: You are proficient with CapCut or similar programs.
• Instinct for Short Form: You know what a strong hook looks like, you edit dynamically, not just quickly, and you can assess whether a video will perform.
• Reliability & Structure: You meet deadlines and agreements and work cleanly, even when things need to be done quickly.
• Language Skills: You speak German very well and English well, so you can confidently implement captions and text overlays.
• Willingness to Learn: You are open to feedback and want to continuously develop your editing skills.
• Nice-to-have: You are confident filming with a camera and have experience editing YouTube videos. Additionally, After Effects, Motion Design, Photoshop, Canva, or Asana are a plus.
