You work part-time (20 hours during the semester) at our Kaiserslautern location and on some days from your home office.

Your tasks – contra boring, PRO YOU  

As a working student m/f/d in Technical Writing, you will support our editorial team in preparing technical content related to our software products in an understandable and structured manner. You will gain insights into modern technical documentation, work closely with development and product management, and be able to apply your academic knowledge directly in practice. Our joint office day in Kaiserslautern is on Tuesdays; furthermore, mobile working is part of our work mode.

  • Documentation: You will support the creation, revision, and maintenance of our technical product documentation.
  • Preparation: You will prepare technical content in a structured and target-group-oriented manner and help to present complex information comprehensibly.
  • Research: Together with development, product management, and the editorial team, you will research information on new features and existing products.
  • Quality: You will support the review and standardization of documentation, terminology, and editorial standards.
  • Tools: You will work with our documentation systems and learn to use modern editorial tools, structured formats, and AI-supported applications.

Your profile – contra 08/15, PRO YOU  

  • Education: Ongoing studies in Technical Writing, Technical Communication, Media Communication, Computer Science, or a comparable degree program
  • Work Experience: Initial practical experience in technical documentation, editorial work, or software environments
  • Expertise: Interest in technical contexts and digital documentation; initial exposure to Markdown, XML, Git, or comparable tools is a plus
  • Personality: Structured and meticulous way of working, enjoyment in making complex content understandable, as well as an open and communicative nature
  • Language skills: Very good German and English skills for communication in an international environment
