Job description

As a working student, you will support the management of VitaForst in the research, preparation, and organization of projects, tenders, and strategic developments.

The goal of this activity is to relieve them of organizational burdens and at the same time to gain insights into practical project development in the areas of forestry, landscape maintenance, and building greening.

Research and Management of Tenders

You will regularly monitor public procurement platforms and identify suitable tenders. This includes tasks such as:

  • Research of tenders via procurement portals
    (e.g., Vergabemarktplätze, Submissionsportale, AI-supported tender software),

  • Evaluation of tenders for relevance to VitaForst,

  • Documentation of tenders,

  • Deadline monitoring for bid submissions,

  • Structuring of tenders in a project board.

Preparation of Offers and Offer Basis

Support for the management in offer preparation. This includes tasks such as:


  • Compilation of tender documents,

  • Preparation of quotation requests to partners and suppliers,

  • Creation of simple preliminary calculations,

  • Structuring of offer data,

  • Preparation of offer folders.

Project Organization and Task Management

Organization of projects and tasks in digital systems. This includes tasks such as:

  • Maintenance and structuring of internal boards,

  • Entry of projects, tasks, and deadlines,

  • Storage of documents and project information,

  • Setting up reminders for deadlines,

  • Support in coordinating project workflows.

Support in Project Preparation

Assistance in the preparation and organization of projects. This includes tasks such as:

  • Preparation of site inspections,

  • Accompanying site visits,

  • Documentation of project information,

  • Support in coordinating small sub-projects.

Company Representation and Marketing

Support in presenting the company externally. This includes tasks such as:

  • Maintenance of the company's project list,

  • Support with social media content,

  • Preparation of presentations,

  • Support at trade fair appearances,

  • Documentation of reference projects.

Network Maintenance and Industry Observation

Support in building and maintaining industry contacts. This includes tasks such as:

  • Research of relevant events and trade fairs,

  • Organization of trade fair visits,

  • Support in scheduling appointments for networking events,

  • Documentation of contacts and networks.

Professional Development within the Company

As a working student, you will gain in-depth insights into the practical work of the VitaForst Group. Possible development steps include:


  • Support in operational management in the forest,

  • Insights into forestry planning processes,

  • Involvement in the development of strategic concepts,

  • Development of your own ideas for new business areas.

Your Digital Work Environment

As a working student, you will mainly work with the following systems:

  • Trello (project organization),

  • Microsoft Excel,

  • Apple macOS / iOS,

  • Cloud storage,

  • Email programs,

  • Tender platforms.

Scope of Work

Working hours: approx. 10–20 hours per week.

Work Arrangement and Compensation

  • flexible,

  • partially remote possible, partially (or fully) on-site,

  • fair pay of €18/h.


  • Studies in one of the following or comparable fields:

    • Business Administration,

    • Industrial Engineering,

    • Forestry,

    • Economics,

    • Business Administration,

    • Project Management,

    • Environmental Management,

    • Agricultural Economics,

    • Public Management / Administrative Management,

    • Real Estate / Construction and Real Estate Management,

    • Business Informatics.

  • Good knowledge of MS Office (especially Word, Excel, Outlook).

  • Teamwork skills and good communication abilities.

  • Organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Reliability and accuracy in work.
