Working Student Software Development with a Focus on Security (m/f/d)

Your Future Team
Do you want to put the knowledge acquired during your studies into practice and contribute to the further development of our IT solutions for clinics? In the Product Development department, we are looking for a working student. It doesn't matter whether you want to work from Berlin, Hanover, Leipzig, Munich, Passau, or remotely; you will be trained and supported by experienced colleagues. This way, you can independently contribute to IT security topics around our hospital information system M-KIS. If you value flat hierarchies and autonomous work in highly competent teams, you've come to the right place!
What awaits you with us
- You will work at the interface between different development teams and stakeholders and support them with security-relevant issues.
- You will assist with security checks and the identification of potential vulnerabilities in various software modules.
- You will participate in threat modeling and security analyses for different software modules.
- You will support the establishment of uniform security standards and best practices in software development.
- You will raise awareness among teams on security-relevant topics such as authentication, encryption, and secure software architecture.
These are your strengths & skills
- You are pursuing a degree in IT (e.g., Computer Science, Medical Informatics, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Business Informatics, IT Security, Cyber Security).
- You already have initial experience in software development with C# / .NET and, if applicable, with TypeScript / Vue.js, e.g., as a working student or in private projects.
- You have a strong interest in or possess knowledge in the area of IT Security (e.g., Secure Software Development, Secure Coding, OWASP Top 10, Cryptography).
- Ideally, you have knowledge of working with SQL databases (T-SQL).
- You possess team spirit and communication skills and enjoy actively contributing.
- You are characterized by a structured way of working, reliability, and a high awareness of quality.
- You have very good German language skills, both written and spoken (C1).
