Werkstudent Software Engineer (m/w/d) - IoT & Cloud

As a work student (m/w/d) at MDT, you'll get real insights into the development of a productive IoT-Cloud platform – no coffee-making, but actual code that's live. You'll be working directly in the development team with, taking on your own tasks and learning how modern web applications are created in a growing tech company.

We'll adapt the tasks to fit your study progress and your prior knowledge – whether you're just starting out or almost at the end of your studies.

Your tasks

• Collaboration on the development of modern web frontends with Angular and TypeScript/JavaScript
• Bonding and testing of REST-APIs
• Support in implementing new features and components
• Participation in code reviews and documentation
• Occasional support in the backend (Java or Node.js) – depending on interest and knowledge level

Qualification

You bring:

• Ongoing studies in computer science, software engineering, business informatics or a comparable field
• First-hand experience with JavaScript/TypeScript – preferably from university projects or hobby projects
• Interest in modern web technologies, ideally first encounters with Angular
• Self-motivated and willing to learn, with a passion for technical challenges

A plus but not a must:

• Knowledge of REST-APIs or backend technologies (Java, Node.js)
• First experiences with version control (e.g. Git)
• Interest in IoT or cloud topics
