Job description

You want to gain practical experience in operating modern robotics?

Then support our operations team in diagnosing, maintaining, and commissioning our autonomous mobile robots.

Pixelf Robotics develops mobile transport robots (AMR) that make logistics and production smarter and more efficient. We combine the latest technologies from AI, computer vision, and robotics to sustainably automate internal transportation processes – our systems are already in productive use at well-known customers.

Our robots are in daily operation at customer sites – and like any complex hardware, they occasionally require technical maintenance. Whether a board no longer recognizes an SSD, a WLAN connection is unstable, or a sensor fails: You help us systematically identify and resolve these issues – in our workshop in Munich as well as on-site at the customer's location. You will always be supported remotely by our team, and modern AI tools are part of our everyday toolkit.

Tasks

  • Hardware diagnosis at our AMRs and server infrastructure
  • Component replacement – you replace SSDs, cables, sensors, and embedded boards independently.
  • Analyze on the embedded device – through the Linux command line, you go to the root of errors, supported by AI tools like Claude.
  • Network & WLAN diagnosis – you identify connection problems at the robots.
  • Log analysis – you evaluate log data and systematically determine the cause of the error.
  • Commissioning & on-site support – during commissionings and acute issues, you support – remotely accompanied – directly at the customer's location.

Qualification

  • Enrolled student or ideal candidate with a background in electrical engineering, mechatronics, computer science, robotics, etc.
  • A strong hands-on mentality and technical interest in hardware. Basic knowledge of Linux and working with the command line.
  • Structured, independent, and reliable work style – especially when dealing with safety-relevant technology.
  • German on at least B2 level (important for customers and team), good English is an advantage.
  • Travel readiness for occasional on-site assignments as well as optional Class B driver's license.

Benefits

  • Practice over demo – you work with systems that are already in productive use at customers.
  • KI-tooling as standard – Claude & Co. are part of our daily routine.
  • Flexible working hours around your studies (max. 20 hours/week during the lecture period).
  • Munich location – modern office with its own workshop and short distances to the team.

We look forward to your online application with a possible start date.
