Job description
PetCom has been developed into a significant and high-performing producer of pet food in the "Private Label" segment. PetCom's offering today includes recipes for dog and cat food ranging from Economy to Premium to Super Premium. We also operate two high-performing own brands!
Would you like to take responsibility for your own optimization project in production while still studying? Then support us in developing a data-based packaging concept and making production processes more efficient.
To strengthen our team in 32423 Minden, we are looking for a Working Student Process Engineering (m/f/d) as soon as possible.
Your Areas of Responsibility:
Development and continuous maintenance of a structured packaging catalog for existing and new products
Analysis of relevant product properties (e.g., bulk density, flow behavior, packaging requirements)
Identification of patterns and similarities between products for clustering
Development of a decision logic (e.g., variant tree) for:
Selection of suitable packaging types
More efficient planning of test runs
Support of production releases
Participation in the standardization of packaging processes
Preparation of results in Excel, dashboards, or clear matrices
Close collaboration with production, quality assurance, and development
Your Profile
Current studies in the field of:
Industrial Engineering
Mechanical Engineering
Production Technology / Process Engineering
Data Science or similar
Analytical and structured way of thinking
Very good knowledge of Excel
Desirable: initial experience with data analysis, clustering methods, or visualization tools (e.g., Visio, Power BI)
Interest in production processes and optimization
Proactiveness and independent working style
