Working Student Programmer Firmware/Embedded (m/f/d)

Andres Industries AG is a defense company and manufacturer of high-quality military thermal imaging devices based in Berlin. Our products are used in safety-critical applications and are utilized worldwide by authorities and armed forces. At the same time, we also develop and produce systems for civilian application areas and work with international partner companies.

At our location on Weißenseer Weg, we operate a modern campus with rest rooms, a fitness area including showers, and an open campus kitchen.

To support our development department, we are looking for a working student (m/f/d) in the area of Firmware / Embedded Systems on a part-time basis, starting immediately. You will work on hardware-related embedded systems for real-time applications and support the development of our devices in the technical development process with initial individual subtasks.

Tasks

• You will support the development and further development of embedded firmware for microcontroller systems

• You will be involved in the programming and adaptation of STM32-based systems (C / ARM Cortex-M)

• You will support testing, debugging, and error analysis with common measurement and analysis tools (e.g., oscilloscope, UART, SPI, I²C)

• You will work on the integration of real-time data processing in embedded systems

• You will document technical developments and support project coordination

• You will work closely with hardware development and external development partners

• You are an enrolled student (m/f/d) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable degree program

• You have solid knowledge of C and initial practical experience in embedded development (e.g., through projects or internships)

• You have basic experience with microcontrollers (e.g., STM32 or ARM Cortex-M systems)

• You have initial knowledge of hardware-related interfaces (UART, SPI, I²C)

• You are interested in embedded systems and technical system development

• You work in a structured, reliable, and independent manner

• Very good German language skills in speaking and writing (at least C1)

Desirable:

• Initial experience with RTOS or interrupt-driven systems

• Interest in Embedded Linux or multicore architectures
