We are VAYS – an innovative company in the field of Transport & Logistics. Our goal is to modernize traditional business models by thinking clearly, smartly, and efficiently, and by using tools and AI to make our processes more efficient and scalable. To achieve this, we are looking for a smart, structured student or intern (m/w/d) who will support us in analyzing existing workflows, documenting processes, identifying weaknesses, and developing practical solutions together with us.

You will work closely with the management team and have the opportunity to solve real operational problems, shape improvements directly, and make a visible impact in the company.

Tasks

• You will identify, analyze, and structure existing processes in our operational and administrative areas.
• You will not just look at workflows from your desk, but directly on site in the operational daily routine to recognize weaknesses, friction losses, and optimization potential realistically.
• You will document processes clearly, understandably, and neatly, so that they are really usable in everyday life.
• You will identify unnecessary manual work, error sources, and inefficient interfaces.
• You will develop practical proposals to make processes simpler, more efficient, and more robust.
• You will support the establishment of standards, checklists, playbooks, and clear workflows.
• You will test and implement tools that make our daily work more efficient and structured.
• You will check which recurring tasks can be simplified or automated using automation and AI.
• You will work closely with the management team and the teams to develop and implement practical solutions.

Qualification

• You are studying ideally business administration, business informatics, business engineering, data science, or a comparable field.
• You have a strong interest in processes, structures, efficiency, and operational excellence.
• You work very structured, carefully, and independently.
• You can quickly grasp complex workflows, logically penetrate them, and present them clearly.
• You are technology-friendly and eager to learn new tools and systems.
• You are interested in AI, automation, and digital solutions in everyday business.
• You think analytically and pragmatically – not just theoretically clean, but also practically feasible.
• You are mobile and willing to work directly on our locations.
• You have no fear of getting your hands dirty with operational daily business and want to understand processes where they actually take place.
• You think practically and recognize optimization potential directly in ongoing operations.
• You have very good German language skills and good English language skills.
• You bring experiences in working with tools like Asana, Notion, Make, Zapier, Airtable, Excel, or ChatGPT.
